About
Egyptian-French Artist · New York City
Inji El Gammal is an Egyptian-French artist based in New York City. Born in Cairo and raised in Paris, she studied literature and philosophy before returning to Egypt to complete her studies at the American University in Cairo, where she minored in theatre. Now based in New York, El Gammal is both an advocate for autism awareness and a dedicated actress.
With a deep commitment to her craft, she brings authenticity and emotional depth to every role, remaining undistracted by superficial elements of the industry. Growing up between Cairo and Paris, she was profoundly shaped by two extraordinarily strong women—her grandmothers. Her maternal grandmother was part of the first graduating class of law school in Egypt and worked alongside her grandfather, who was the royal family's lawyer at the time.
Although accepted to the Sorbonne, fate led her to the American University in Cairo, where she discovered her passion for theatre. It was during this time that she met her husband and artistic partner, Omar Bakry, while working on an experimental film. That experience crystallized her calling as an actress.

Artistic Philosophy
"Success isn't about fame or glamour. It's about knowing I've made a difference in someone's life through personal connections or by playing a role that deeply touches people."
Inji believes in celebrating everything that makes us human—our strengths, our flaws, and all the imperfections in between. These parts of us, even the broken ones, allow us to connect deeply with life and others. When we embrace our humanity, we create a perfectly imperfect world.
Timewormz
Together with her husband Omar Bakry, Inji runs Timewormz, a production company dedicated to creating meaningful, thought-provoking content that bridges cultures and challenges perspectives.
